UT International Ventures, De Friesland zorgverzekeraar, Achmea

In addition to the risk capital from the public-private incubator fund UT International Ventures, Ostendum has obtained venture capital from two private equity funds owned by the largest health insurer in the Netherlands, Achmea.

“This investment fits seamlessly with our mission, which is to ensure good healthcare and quality of life in an affordable and sustainable manner. It paves the way for faster, better and more efficient treatment, thus preventing unnecessary healthcare costs,” says Diana Monissen, Chair of the Board of Directors of De Friesland Zorgverzekeraar, about the company’s new venture with Ostendum.”

Young Technology award In 2011, Ostendum was awarded the Young Technology award by Kennispark Twente, Innovatieplatform Twente, ABN Amro, Deloitte and PPM Oost. The jury was won over by Ostendum's technological innovativity, business model, and the broad social relevance of our product.


Collaboration


High Tech Factory

Ostendum is an industrial partner with the University Twente’s highly regarded Research Institute for Nanotechnology, MESA+, and participates in the High Tech Factory initiative. The latter enables Ostendum to speed up its development of low costs disposable chips, and to have access to shared production facilities within state-of-the-art clean room settings.

Nano 4 Vitality

Ostendum was awarded with a generous Nano4Vitality subsidy, which programme is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland. To this end, Ostendum works together with Zwanenberg Food Group for robust testing of the Ostendum method in a food processing environment, with the Laboratorium Microbiologie Twente/Achterhoek and the Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST) to obtain further proof of concept with real patient samples.
